Andrey Gaiduk // Chief Geologist, Founder

I combine three most important roles: Geologist, Manager, Dad.

I graduated from the Faculty of Geology, Moscow State University. I’ve been in this field for 13 years now. I worked my way from an intern at the headquarters of the largest oil and gas company in the country up to the Chief Geologist position in our small but nice and independent Energy & Geotech Holding.

I was directly involved in 12 discoveries of oil and gas, and was awarded a Field Discoverer of Honor award pin.

I love geology in all its aspects, particularly, regional geology, tectonics, sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy, and HC modeling and simulating. I make use of all the intelligence and data acquisition tools from a hammer and a microscope to stochastic inversion and PTA interpretation.

My first step as a manager were in 2013, where I had to lead an R&D team to support the exploration project at a major East Siberian field. For 8 year of work, the portfolio of managed assets had grown from 7 to 32 licenses, and the team expanded from 3 to 50 people.

Along with the managerial activity, I focused on further education and graduated from the MBA program called Management of Oil and Gas Business at Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University and at HEC Paris.

A major highlight in my activity as a manager is people, their professional growth: youngsters in my team get annual awards and are prize winners in sectoral conferences and professional contests, and our mature experts are nominees for corporate and national awards.

I am proud that we at Energy Craft managed to shape a team of like-minded people who are passionate about what they do, with inspiration, and eager to better the world.

A father of three wonderful daughters. The eldest one starting riding a two-wheeled bike when she was 4, the middle one started swimming when she was 2, the youngest is just making us the happiest parents in the world.
